There are so many meaningful ways to support Alzheimer’s families beyond a traditional donation.
Whether you choose to share your time, talent, or treasure, every act of involvement strengthens the community around families facing dementia. Below, you’ll find opportunities to host your own fundraising event, create comforting fidget blankets for caregivers, donate items for care baskets, and even join our Board of Directors. You are also invited to participate in our annual events – Walking to Remember, Glow for the Cure, and the Garden Art Party. However you choose to get involved, you help strengthen a community that truly needs it.
Make Fidget Blankets
Creating “fidget blankets” for people living with dementia has become a beloved service project for many local churches and senior centers. Volunteers craft some from placemats, while others sew them as small quilts. Each colorful lap blanket securely attaches items like key fobs, watches, jewelry, zippers, and small stuffed animals. We share these blankets through our Care Basket program or mail them directly to families who request one. Caregivers often tell us how much these blankets help ease restlessness and boredom for their loved ones. If you’d like to learn more or get involved, please contact us.

Create Your Own Event
Over the years, generous organizations and individuals have hosted all kinds of creative fundraising events to support our mission. Local businesses have supported us through percentage‑of‑sales days, individuals have hosted personalized birthday and anniversary campaigns, and the Riverchase Women’s Club has a long‑standing tradition of art shows, tablescape events, and imaginative walk‑team activities.
If you’re interested in planning your own event—with options for directing donations straight through our website—please contact us. We’d be delighted to help bring your idea to life.

Donate Items for Care Baskets
Our Care Baskets are only possible because of generous community support. We’re always in need of items to help fill them with comfort and essentials for families caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s.
