Alzheimer’s of Central Alabama established our Junior Board in 2016 to engage young professionals to join us and support our local efforts to improve the lives of patients and caregivers. Many of our junior board have a family connection to the disease or work in the senior industry. All members support the goal of working towards a world without Alzheimer’s.
The Junior Board has pledged to raise $25,000 to support ACA’s research grant program this year. Since 2001, ACA has funded research grants at Alabama universities. This money is raised primarily through Ales for Alzheimer’s, an annual event typically held at a local brewery, and Glow for a Cure, a night golf tournament in late summer.
If you are interested in serving on ACA’s Junior Board, please complete the application below or call (205) 871-8970 or email Miller Piggott, Executive Director at mpiggott@alzca.org. To see the current list of Junior Board members visit our board page.
