Alzheimer’s of Central Alabama established our Junior Board in 2016 to engage young professionals to join us and support our local efforts to improve the lives of patients and caregivers. Most of our 30 member board either have a family connection to the disease or work in the senior industry. All members support the goal of working towards a world without Alzheimer’s. The Junior Board has pledged to raise $15,000 to support ACA’s research grant program this year. Since 2001, ACA has funded 24 research grants at Alabama universities.
Membership on the Junior Board is currently at capacity. Applications are reviewed and positions are filled as they become available. Membership will be reviewed and renewed in August. In the meantime, please follow ACA’s Junior Board on Facebook and join us at our inaugural fundraiser at Avondale Brewery, March 18!
